About This Opportunity

The Operations Director, Asia Pacific is responsible for the oversight of business operations in the Asia Pacific market. The role will have regional ownership of Product Operations, Process Improvement, Merchandising and general operational duties.  As a member of the APAC leadership team, the successful candidate will report to the Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific and will act as a conduit between our US bases IT/Operations team and 3rd party suppliers.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Assists management in setting goals that promote company growth
  • Direct leadership and management of 10 Hong Kong based employees, with dotted line oversight of operations team members across 9 Asia markets
  • Manage the Product Operations team supporting delivery of new products & technologies
  • Ownership and main point of contact for key IT projects and operational initiatives
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of internal functions such as Sales, IT, Operations, Finance & Marketing and manage 3rd party vendor relationships
  • Utilize best practices and work on continual process improvement across operational aspects including; card production, card design, merchandising, reporting and onboarding of new clients
  • Close cost control on 3rd party service providers including merchandising, warehousing & logistics and display/gift card production.
  • Partner with US International Operations team to act as regional SME on Incomm processes and procedures 
  • Ensure team members have clearly defined roles, responsibilities, goals, and objectives that will deliver tangible results to the organization
  • Reviewing available industry research and recommend ideas to drive improvement

Qualifications

 

  • An innovative, forward thinking mindset who takes direct responsibility for turning an idea into a finished solution
  • Ability to learn new technology/product lines in a highly innovative environment. Knowledge of contactless payments, cloud based wallets, tokenization, mobile, digital gift, and ecommerce preferred
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail and ability to manage several projects & tasks simultaneously
  • Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use metrics to support assumptions and clearly communicate insight to others
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of IT services
  • Ability to project manage through planning and scheduling
  • Proven leadership skills, leading and motivating successful teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence
  • Experience working within FMCG companies or B2B sales role preferred
  • Flexible and remote working capability to accommodate and work with team members from different time zones
  • 20-30% Travel Requirement
  • 3-5+ years of experience in an operationally focused role
  • Japanese, Korean or Chinese language is an advantage
