    The Senior Director, Business Development Canada is a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for developing and implementing the go-to-market strategies to meet the company’s diversification and growth objectives. Under his / her responsibilities are the overall management of the BD efforts, being an advocate for the company’s plans and capable of understanding industry trends and how InComm’s technologies can address such opportunities, being critical to the current and future growth and profitability of the Company. The Sr. Director reports to the VP, GM for InComm Canada and is recognized by both the Leadership Team and his/her peers as a key contributor to the organization. The Sr. Director will report to the VP, GM for InComm Canada and will have P&L responsibility, overseeing and providing leadership to a team of Business Development professionals.

    Responsibilities

    Strategy

    • Develops and implements business development and got-to-market strategies with a focus on market diversification and growth.
    • Develops and implements lead generation and revenue generation programs.
    • Develops competitive intelligence and communicates findings within the organization.
    • Continuously seek business opportunities for products and proactively sell ideas to clients.
    • Stays current with market and industry trends, company position within market, competitors, opportunities and threats and reacts quickly to changes in company performance.
    • Drives the development and implementation of sales strategies, sales tools and marketing/sales materials for new accounts.
    • Provides departmental budget and oversee the monitoring of all departmental spending against budget; including new business budget/sales targets.
    • Oversees the P&L management.
    • Builds key metrics and assign measurable goals to team to track and measure performance, including objectives for revenue and profit attainment
    • Provides reporting to executive management weekly, monthly or quarterly, as required
    • Is an active member of the leadership team, embracing the concepts of InComm’s Business Management System (“BMS”) rooted on SixSigma and ISO frameworks.

     

    Leadership

    • Lead the Business Development team to continuously meet or exceed sales revenue, sales profitability, and budget objectives. 
    • Responsible for the acquisition, development and promotion of employees to create a high performing team.
    • Emphasis on on-going training, coaching and management of direct reports.

    Business Development

    • Oversees the strategic direction and management of all acquisition and business development operations
    • Manage the acquisition process, setting company sales goals and appropriate metrics.
    • Develop and implement sales forecasting, sales planning and budgeting processes.
    • Leads a team of business development professionals to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Provide overall leadership to the business development team, ensuring achievement of sales goals while fostering a culture of employee development.
    • Responsible for customer acquisition, retention, satisfaction and profitability.
    • Works closely with Senior Director, Account Management to identify ways to enhance the customer experience beyond acquisition.
    • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

     

    • Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience leading a team in business development or similar role
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or related field or equivalent work experience required
    • Master’s Degree is an asset
    • Having Retail experience is a definitive asset.
    • Having Prepaid Product sales experience at Retail is a plus.
    • Having experience in Marketing and promotions is an asset
    • Track record for managing high efficient and engaged teams
    • Proven ability in achieving sales, profit goals and objectives.
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Proven ability to develop sales and / or growth strategies supported by clear and concise business plans
    • Demonstrated ability to develop, revise and implement departmental operating policies and procedures
    • Proven record of success in a fast-moving company
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills
    • Excellent executive level written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to write technical, concise, business oriented, marketing messages
    • Strong Microsoft Office expertise with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
    • Based in Mississauga, ON, ability to travel nationally and Internationally as required
