    About This Opportunity

    The Account Specialist is responsible for supporting existing retail clients whose key relationship with InComm is through our gift card products and programs. The position is a combination of account and operations support in a client facing role.  The Account  Specialist  will aid in maximizing opportunities to expand distribution of retail  gift card products, recommend additional account product offerings, engage accounts in promotional opportunities as well as other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. 


    Ideal Candidate

    The ideal candidate will be an outstanding communicator, a critical thinker, and comfortable presenting information in multiple environments.   Although not required, French language skills would be quite helpful.   We are also looking for candidates who have had some knowledge of retail operations at the corporate level.  Recent graduates with completed intern or co-op experience in these areas are encouraged to apply.

    • Manage reporting requirements to support Account Executives and Retailers
    • Manage cyclical launches: inclusive of launching new products, conducting analysis, testing, developing an execution plan and delivering flawless execution
    • Analyze marketing and promotions activity
    • Analyze retailer’s POS data, sales data, merchandising data and internal information in order to make informed and strategic recommendations to account and to internal stakeholders
    • Help manage and track inventory flow, perform inventory analysis and work with account and internal stakeholders to manage inventory
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure functional connectivity
    • Implement best practices and work on continual improvements in all processes and documentation
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and changes, advise how these can be brought into the Company’s offerings/practices through sales and marketing strategies
    • Help achieve team sales and profit objectives by account and territory. This includes proper ongoing due diligence and developing plans to achieve sales and grow profits. Focus on tracking, monitoring and controlling all costs related to operating the account spending such as displays, merchandising promotional plans
    • Familiar with Category Management concepts to develop and implement planograms for each account that are proportionate to the opportunity and strategic direction of the company, that complements the accounts channel
    • The ideal individual will be a detailed organized person, who is very familiar with building and successfully executing upon accounts business plans.
    • Help support launches of new products and programs flawlessly and on time, developing merchandising plans with their retailers, creating and executing promotional activities and resolving account issues and barriers is essential in growing the account business
    • Working closely with internal teams and account on inventory management. Includes forecasting, report analysis and process improvements
    • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned



    • 1+ years of experience
    • University degree
    • Business analytical skills and ability to use initiative to accomplish projects
    • Understanding of the retail industry is an asset
    • Customer facing experience is a strong asset
    • Experience developing presentations
    • Effective oral communication and presentation skills
    • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and in team environment
    • Fast learner & highly motivated individual
    • Strong computer skills at the intermediate to advanced level of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
    • Bilingual (French/English) language skills are a plus
