    About This Opportunity

    InComm Japan is entering into exciting times and we are building sophisticated systems to meet the demands of our growing industry.  The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for developing and enhancing infrastructure and applications to support the growth of the business and to promote a highly available and stable computing environment.


    The Sr. Network Engineer will work with global engineering team to contribute the overall engineering, design, build and high level support of all existing and new network infrastructure in Japan DC center. Works closely with our internal clients to develop consensus and find solutions to problems facing their business constituents.


    • Monitor network environment for anomalies and errors, reporting and escalation of issues.
    • Provide the required daily support, maintenance, and management of the platforms.
    • Provide Level II/III network support and repair, as well as escalation to the Management Team.
    • Provide 24x7 On-call Escalation Support
    • Author internal documentation, such as environment diagrams, installation/configuration and release notes
    • Troubleshoot and debug problems found in the production and non-production environments.
    • Assist in managing the corporate systems in a racked data center environment
    • Monitor and troubleshoot any problems within the network.
    • Create network plans, document the existing network, and communicate with business partners to establish connectivity.
    • Negotiate with technical solution providers and vendors to provide recommendations on equipment purchases and upgrades to the existing network infrastructure.
    • Help ensure that the organization's network infrastructure complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
    • Strong proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP…)
    • Strong proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 networking (VLANS, Spanning-Tree,…)
    • Strong understanding of network concepts related to High Availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery related to Open Systems architecture
    • Perform other duties as needed.



    • 7+ years' experiences with design, configurations, and implementations of enterprise networks
    • Skilled with campus core and WAN routing and switching
    • Skilled with packet analysis network monitoring tools
    • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, Firewalls Security suite
    • Hands-on experience with routing and switching protocols (EIGRP, BGP, Ethernet, and MPLS) in a large corporate environment required
    • Experience with Security (802.1x, IPS/IDS, NAC) preferred
    • Expert understanding and working knowledge of TCP/IP, IPSEC, routing protocols, 802.1x, access-control lists, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and dynamic routing protocols NTP, TCP/IP, and Windows Systems.
    • Expert level network design and architecture experience
    • Understanding of network concepts related to High Availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery related to Open Systems architecture
    • Applicable network engineering certifications preferred
    • CCNP or CCIE preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
