    About This Opportunity

    Infrastructure/Solutions Architect will aid in design and implementation of information systems to support the enterprise infrastructure and applications. Ensure that all systems are working at optimal levels and support the development of new technologies and system requirements as indicated by business and technical roadmaps.


    • The Infrastructure/solutions Architect will analyze requirements and work with global team to ensure that systems offer adequate security, resiliency, business continuity, and ensure optimal efficiency.
    • Will analyze business requirements to identify need for integration in both virtualized and non-virtualized infrastructure fabrics.
    • Recommend alternative technologies and Improvements: recommend alternative technologies or improvements to enhance systems
    • Lead design and review of new systems: develop and document technical design for the integration and implementation of any software
    • Plan for Integration: create detailed plans for the integration of systems architecture into existing infrastructure including logistical plans
    • Must have a balanced mix of technical and business skills, and will often work with an enterprise architect for strategic direction.
    • Responsible for working with business stakeholders to gather requirements; then translating those requirements to engineering team peers in effort to define a solution architecture that aligns with a business initiative. Must maintain the balance between rapid delivery of solutions to meet market and customer needs within the current environment, and alignment and progress towards the strategic technology vision.
    • Provide analysis of the current state technology solutions. Provide thought leadership and drive cross functional collaboration to design future state architectures that align with the overall business strategy and customer needs. This includes the assessment of technologies and approach, the develop solution concepts, creation of proposals/designs, and recommend direction. Work closely with global enterprise architecture team and business partners to align long term strategic vision.
    • Provide leadership and drive initiatives with vendors, consultants, and colleagues. Coordinate with project teams to ensure near term initiatives are in line with the strategy.


    Knowledge / Experience:

    • IT experience including requirements gathering and relationship building with business clients
    • Experience in leading business system application and architecture design, and in influencing technology direction in range of IT areas
    • Able to lead project and working teams, collaborate with business partners, vendor/ consulting organizations and peer level professionals from other IT disciplines
    • Experience in architecting and delivering high performance and highly secure distributed network applications
    • Experience with virtualization, cloud technologies, software defined infrastructure, open source frameworks and security
    • Experience and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies
    • Broad technical experience across different hardware platforms, operating systems, programming languages, application architectures and associated development and operations tools - with emphasis of recent experience on cloud based
    • Domain experience in financial services, especially payments, a strong plus


    • The ideal candidate will be good at solving problems and thinking creatively
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
    • 5+ years of experience in systems performance or application performance management
    • 5+ years’ experience in DevOps’s automation of infrastructure components.
    • Deep understanding of any of these concept areas:
      • Distributed application architecture
      • System performance and monitoring
      • Infrastructure and Networking
      • Cloud – Microsoft Azure and GCP
      • DR design approaches
      • Data analysis
      • Strong knowledge of VMWare and business continuity strategies using virtualized technologies.
    • Ability to be high-energy, strategic, self-directed, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
    • Strong bilingual (English and Japanese) communication skills - both verbal and written – and strong relationship, collaboration skills and organizational skills.
    • Ability to quickly learn and assess new technologies, frameworks and tools and support multiple concurrent activities and to interface with external / internal resources, working as a member of a matrix based diverse and geographically distributed team
    • Extensive knowledge of the software ecosystems, including:
      • Java and associated frameworks and servers
      • .NET coding, .NET framework, Microsoft based architectures
    • Infrastructure as Code approached including containerization, private/public clouds
    • Experience with web technologies and building enterprise architecture roadmaps
    • Experience designing, integrating and managing complex infrastructure solutions
    • Knowledge of client-server networking and database management
    • Ability to provide technical system solutions, determine overall design direction and provide hardware recommendations for complex technical issues
    • Experience planning and developing support processes and adhering to best practices
    • The ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
    • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
