    About This Opportunity

    We are offering an interesting and exciting opportunity to re-design and implement existing and new applications using innovative ideas and technologies, focusing on Microservices and Queue communication to support high availability, reliability and scalability. This projects would be tightly coupled to the development of CI/CD infrastructure in a DEVOPS environment. We are searching for a passionate Software Engineer with experience in Java, Spring framework and CI/CD to aid in our large-scale projects.

    Responsibilities

    CODE

    • Designs and implements new components for applications
    • Designs solution for existing applications and/or modules
    • Codes complex designs
    • Modify code and fix existing bugs
    • Analyzes, discovers and proposes solutions for complex bugs
    • Implements prototypes
    • Performs in-depth code reviews

    QUALITY

    • Implements new/modifies performance tests, unit tests, functional testing, end-to-end, and complex unit tests
    • Designs and implements testing techniques and new testing harnesses for new and already implemented applications and components

    PROCESS

    • Will be responsible for understanding and following existing development processes
    • Will use tools such as JIRA, CONFLUENCE, CVS, CODE REPOSITORIES to support development processes
    • Will be required to understand and apply IT development standards and procedures, software policies for versioning, merge/branching strategies, proper change request procedures
    • Responsible for starting and troubleshooting automated builds

    DESIGN

    • Will propose and implement design patterns, architectural patterns, new Frameworks/Open Source Tools/Application Servers to solve Design tasks

    DOCUMENTATION

    • Edits and updates existing documentation and creates new documentation for existing systems
    • Creates design documents for existing systems/components
    • Will determine appropriate level of documentation and detail for new and existing systems
    • Will use descriptive languages like UML

    COMMUNICATION

    • Responsible for communicating technical problems and solutions with other team members in a proficient manner
    • Responsible for effectively and clearly communicating technical details with other teams, peers, and internal clients
    • Will prepare and present technical presentations
    • Will manage sprints and demo changes to stakeholders

    LEADERSHIP

    • Will mentor other developers and provide guidance to junior members of the team.

    Qualifications

     

    • 5+ years in software development
    • 2+ years of Spring and REST/SOAP services experience, Spring Boot and microservices
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
    • Broad knowledge of multiple programming languages preferred, e.g., Java, PHP and Web (HTML, CSS, JS). Java required
    • Understands technologies, e.g., SQL, Networking, API Protocols, Application Servers (Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, RabbitMQ, MongoDB).
    • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and automation.
    • Must have demonstrated experience directly developing RESTful API's.
    • Experience participating in the full lifecycle of projects, including effective use of version control, build management, unit testing, and issue tracking software (e.g. SVN, Maven, JIRA, GIT, Jenkins).
    • Strong understanding of the agile software development methodologies and principles.
    • Strong understanding of and desire to implement continuous delivery and integration
    • JAVA 7+, JBOSS, J2EE, Spring, SpringBoot, Hibernate/JPA, REST Services, Relational SQL/Database experience,
      RabbitMQ, Maven, Subversion, GIT, Linux, Angular 4, Jenkins, ESB, Jira, Confluence
    • Good command of verbal and written English and able to clearly communicate design, architecture, implementations and requirements.
    • Self-motivated, self-managed
